Happy New Year!! Another year has come & gone and with it we wanted to catch you up on that we’ve been up to. With the continuation of the pandemic, we unfortunately didn’t feel comfortable hosting our Annual Memorial Dance. The safety of our supporters is important to us, but it has also left us in need of fundraising. In Honor of Her is still a predominant donation source for the beloved “Marijke’s Place.” We are counting on your support to help with this special transitional safe haven for our survivors.

Over the past year, with your individual donations and grant funding, in 2021, Opening New Doors was able to provide:

  • Safe and supportive housing for 8 women and 8 children this year at Marijke’s Place.
  • Trauma services and wraparound case management for 30 victims or survivors of domestic violence and their children within the community setting.

To allow Marijke’s Place to meet the needs of its residence, we kindly ask you remember us during these difficult times. Domestic Violence unfortunately isn’t going away anytime soon, but we are beginning to see positive steps towards change. The topic is getting global attention thanks to TV shows & media showing the many ugly sides of Domestic Abuse.

We are always truly humbled & grateful for your kindness & grace. Wishing you & your families a very happy, healthy & safe new year.

Sincerely,

In Honor of Her
